Start Windsufing will give you a thorough introduction to windsurfing. Using beginner boards with carbon lightweight masts you will learn the basics of windsurfing. Beginner courses are run from our lagoon, which is shallow and sheltered, making a perfect learning environment. Course Content Includes: • How To Use The Right Equipment • Tacking & Gybing

Course Objective: You will be able to windsurf in light winds to a chosen point and return to where you started. Once completed you will be able to hire boards on Hove Lagoon.

Prerequisite: None

This course will improve your skills to a level that will enable you to windsurf on the sea. You will be using high performance sails with lighter weight boards.

Course Content Includes: • Beachstarts • Harness Work • Faster Tacking & Gybing


Course Objective: You will be able to sail on all points of sail in stronger winds, using beachstarts tacking and gybing. You should be ready to hire boards on the sea in suitable conditions.

Prerequisite: RYA Windsurfing Level 1 or Equivalent Experience

We aim to take your skills to the next level by utilizing the RYA Fastfwd formula to introduce skills essential to mastering sailing on the sea in stronger winds. 

Course Content Includes: • Equipment Choice & Preparation • Harness Technique • Footstrap Technique • Planing Techniques • Board & Rig Control At Higher Speeds


Course Objective: You should be ready to plane on the sea in suitable conditions.

Prerequisite: RYA Windsurfing Level 2 or Equivalent Experience
 • Private Windsurf Lesson Duration: 1 Hour Type: Class

A private 1:1 lesson with a qualified RYA instructor can offer you an intensive way of learning a new sport or mastering new skills to enhance your windsurfing. Classes are suitable for all abilities from complete beginners to improvers. Included in the price is one hour of tuition followed by an hour of windsurf hire, so you can practice you new found skills!

 • Windsurf and Dinghy Taster (Adult and kids) Duration: 3 hours Type: Class

Why not try windsurfing or dinghy sailing with our half day taster sessions? Full tuition and all equipment is provided. You will spend about 90 mins windsurfing before switching over to sailing on our Laser Picos on Hove Lagoon. Its great fun and a good way to find out if windsurfing or sailing is for you....If you decide to take a full course with us within one month of  your taster session you will receive equivalent to the cost of your taster session.

Suitability: Adults and kids (8 years and over)

Prerequisites: Taster sessions are aimed at complete beginners.

Important: After the taster session you will have had a great introduction to sailing and windsurfing. However you will not be ready to hire boards or boats. To do this you will need to complete the RYA Level 1 course in Windsurfing or Sailing.
